Kamas Concrete for Cabins, Ranches & Country Homes

Kamas sits at the gateway to the Uinta Mountains, where homes are spread out, roads can be gravel, and the nearest concrete plant isn't next door. Legend Construction and Concrete plans around all of it, bringing solid footings, porches, patios, and equipment pads to cabins, ranch properties, and rural homes across the Kamas Valley.

Rural Projects Take Real Planning

Pouring concrete out in the country isn't the same as pouring in a subdivision. Concrete trucks may have a long drive, the property might be at the end of a dirt road, and there's often no curb, gutter, or storm drain to handle water. Every one of those details affects when and how a pour can happen.

We handle the logistics up front: checking truck access and turnaround space, timing deliveries so the concrete arrives in good working condition, and planning drainage on open ground. Then we build the basics right, with proper footings below frost depth, a compacted base, and reinforcement sized for the job, so your concrete handles long, cold mountain winters.

Kamas Concrete FAQs

Can you get concrete to a remote cabin?

In many cases, yes. It depends on road conditions, truck access, and how far the pour is from where a truck can park. We'll check the site and let you know the options, which may include pumping or other methods for hard-to-reach spots.

How deep do footings need to be in Kamas?

Footings need to sit below the local frost depth so the ground doesn't heave them in winter. Depth requirements are set by the local building code, and at Kamas Valley elevations they can be deeper than in the Salt Lake Valley. We'll follow the requirements for your location.

Is concrete worth it over gravel for my driveway or parking area?

Gravel costs less up front, but it can rut, wash out, and turn to mud in spring. Concrete costs more to start but stays clean, level, and easy to plow. Many owners pour concrete near the house and garage and keep gravel farther out.

When is the best time to schedule a project in Kamas?

Late spring through early fall is best. The season is shorter at this elevation, so reaching out early helps you get on the schedule before cold weather returns.

Do I need a permit in Kamas or Summit County?

Foundations, footings for structures, and some other projects often need permits from Kamas City or Summit County, depending on where your property is. We'll let you know what applies before we start.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Legend Construction and Concrete is licensed and insured, and our workmanship is backed by a warranty. We'll go over the warranty details during your estimate.
