One Region, Many Kinds of Ground

The Wasatch Front stretches along the base of the mountains for more than 100 miles, and the ground changes a lot along the way. Hillside lots near the foothills need grading and retaining walls to keep slabs stable. Lower valley neighborhoods often sit on clay-heavy soil that swells when wet and shrinks when dry, which can crack a slab that wasn't built on a good base.

We look at your site before we quote it: slope, drainage, soil, and how water moves off the roof and yard. Then we build the base and reinforcement to match, so your concrete stays flat and solid through Utah's hot summers and freezing winters.

Wasatch Front Concrete FAQs

Do you really travel to all four counties?

Yes. We regularly work from Weber County down through Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties. There's no charge for the estimate visit, and we'll schedule your pour efficiently no matter which part of the Wasatch Front you're in.

My yard is on a slope. Can you still pour a patio or driveway?

Often, yes. Sloped foothill and bench lots are common here. We may recommend grading, steps, or a retaining wall to create a stable, level area and keep water draining away from your home. We'll explain the options during your estimate.

I just built a new home. When can I add concrete flatwork?

Once final grading is done, we can pour driveways, walkways, patios, and RV pads. New-build lots can have soft or recently disturbed soil, so we pay close attention to compaction and base prep before we pour.

Does my city or HOA need to approve the project?

It depends on where you live and what you're building. Each city along the Wasatch Front has its own permit rules, especially for driveway approaches and retaining walls, and many newer neighborhoods have HOA guidelines. We'll tell you what applies and help you through it.

What does concrete cost along the Wasatch Front?

Pricing depends on square footage, site access, tear-out, slope, reinforcement, and the finish you pick. Because conditions vary so much across the region, we price every job after seeing it in person and give you the quote in writing.

Are you licensed and insured, and is the work warrantied?

Yes. Legend Construction and Concrete is licensed and insured, and our workmanship is backed by a warranty. We're happy to go over the warranty details for your project when we visit.
