Park City Concrete Built for Mountain Winters

At Park City's elevation, winter shows up early, stays late, and brings a lot of snow. Legend Construction and Concrete pours driveways, entries, and patios made for mountain conditions, and we plan every project around the short building season so your work gets done before the first big storm.

High Elevation Asks More of Your Concrete

Concrete in Park City deals with more freeze-thaw cycles, deeper snow, heavier plowing, and more deicer than most of the Wasatch Front. Cool nights can arrive even in summer, and the window for pouring concrete is shorter than it is down in the valley. A slab that would last decades in Salt Lake can fail much sooner up here if it isn't built for the climate.

We use a mix designed for severe freeze-thaw exposure, build a well-drained base, reinforce for snow-removal equipment, and protect fresh concrete from cold while it cures. After curing, a quality sealer helps defend the surface against water and salt. The result is concrete that stands up to mountain winters and still looks great beside a high-end home.

Park City Concrete FAQs

When should I schedule concrete work in Park City?

As early as possible. The building season at Park City's elevation is shorter than in the valley, and schedules fill quickly. Reaching out in winter or early spring gives you the best chance at your preferred dates.

Can you pour concrete over a heated driveway system?

Yes. Your heating or snowmelt contractor installs the tubing or cables, and we coordinate with them to pour and finish the concrete over it without damaging the system.

I don't live here full-time. Can you manage the project remotely?

Yes. Many Park City homes are second homes or rentals. We can start with photos and a call, coordinate access with you or a property manager, and send progress photos and a final walkthrough so you know exactly what was done.

Why is my concrete flaking and pitting?

That's usually scaling, caused by repeated freeze-thaw cycles combined with water and deicing salts. It's common at high elevation. Replacing damaged areas with a freeze-thaw-resistant mix and sealing the new surface helps prevent it from coming back.

Are there extra rules for concrete work in Park City?

Some areas, like the historic district and certain HOA communities, have design guidelines, and work in the right-of-way may need a permit from Park City Municipal or Summit County. We'll help you figure out what applies to your property.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Legend Construction and Concrete is licensed and insured, and our workmanship is backed by a warranty. We can provide proof of insurance to your HOA or property manager.
